Adaptive's QuickLink is a linear drive system designed for manual loading or fully automated operation, as an alternative to the rotary table systems. It is designed to have the working tooling, feeders, and controls on one side of the machine, with operator access in the front.

Linear systems can be very accurate as needed (as low as +/- .002 inch positional repeatability), or can have looser tolerances to help lower cost. Tolerances can be different at different stations.

The system uses a double chain drive, indexed by a camcoƓ indexer, via a heavy duty drive system with an AC inverter and overload clutch. After the chain is indexed, a cam operated shot pin bar ascends and locks the pallets. The PLC now starts the independant stations. The chain drive will not advance until all the operations have completed.

Operations that can be performed on the base are:
Solvent bonding
Glue bonding
UV curing
Printing
Hot stamping
Clinching
Riveting
Heat welding
Ultrasonic welding
Punching
Drilling
Multipiece Assembly
Vision inspection
Dosing
Filling
